Ashley Williams-Whitley (Pronouns: She, Her, Hers) is an Associate Professional Counselor (GA), National Certified Counselor (NCC). She holds an MA in Community Counseling from Clark Atlanta University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. She is a doctoral candidate at Mercer University where she is studying to obtain her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. She has extensive experience working with adults, adolescents, and their families by providing individual, couples, group, and family therapy. Throughout her career, she has worked in several settings including crisis centers, private practice, and group practice centers. Ashley specializes in working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, sexuality, and substance abuse. Ashley uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques with her clientele.
She is an advocate for LGBT issues, social justice, women's rights, and domestic affairs. Ashley has dedicated her time to creating 2 non-profit organizations: Beautiful Beginnings - Afiya Mental Wellness to address the mental health needs of women of color and underserved populations and Williams-Whitley Foundation which provides scholarships to underserved individuals within her hometown.
